The challenge

Currie Consultants works where mistakes are not an option. Its services cover nuclear safety and regulatory compliance, radioactive waste management, non-destructive testing for oil and gas, environmental impact assessment, and renewable energy planning. Its nuclear work follows IAEA standards.

Those sectors are growing fast in Uganda. Oil development in the Albertine region and the country's plans for nuclear power are creating demand for specialist, locally based technical expertise.

In these industries, buyers check out a firm long before they make contact. Procurement teams, regulators and project engineers look at a consultancy's website to judge its credibility. Does it look rigorous? Are its capabilities clear? Is it serious enough to trust with a safety-critical scope?

Currie's work met that bar. Its digital presence did not. The website and internal tools hadn't kept pace with the quality of the work, so trust was being lost before the first meeting. The job was not a cosmetic refresh. Currie needed infrastructure as precise and reliable as the industries it serves.

The approach

Discovery ran on two tracks.

  • Outside in: what technical buyers in nuclear, energy and oil and gas need to see before they engage. That means clear service scopes, standards and compliance credentials, sector experience, and a simple path to request work.
  • Inside out: how Currie's engineers and business development team actually work day to day, from receiving an enquiry to preparing a proposal to documenting delivery.

From there, NASDAN set three principles:

  1. Credibility before conversion. Every page has to show competence first. Technical audiences distrust marketing language, so the content leads with capabilities, standards and evidence.
  2. Stability over novelty. The architecture favours proven, well-supported technology and long-term reliability over rapid iteration. That suits an audience that values dependability.
  3. One system, two audiences. The public site and the internal tools share one foundation, so what clients see and what the team works from never drift apart.

The solution

NASDAN delivered a single platform that combines a credibility-first public presence with internal tools for delivery.

  • 01 · Sector-led public presence. Dedicated pages for each service line and sector set out scope, method and standards in language technical buyers recognise.
  • 02 · Structured enquiry and quote requests. A request flow captures the details Currie needs to scope work: sector, service, location and timeline. That cuts the back-and-forth before a proposal.
  • 03 · Proposal management. Enquiries move into an internal workflow where the team can track, prepare and follow up proposals in one place.
  • 04 · Project documentation. A central place for project records keeps delivery documentation organised and easy to find across engagements.
  • 05 · Reliable, secure hosting. Cloud infrastructure with monitoring, backups and security hardening meets the reliability bar Currie's own clients expect from their engineering partners.

The results & impact

The platform is live and in daily use. Currie's team now has a digital presence that matches the seriousness of the sectors it works in. Prospective clients can understand what the firm does, which standards it works to and how to engage it, before anyone picks up the phone.

Behind the scenes, enquiries arrive in a consistent structure, proposals are tracked in one place, and project documentation no longer lives in scattered inboxes and folders. The time Currie used to spend explaining itself now goes into the work.

"In nuclear and energy, your website is part of your due diligence file. We built Currie a platform that holds up to the same scrutiny as their engineering."
— Daniel Nasasira, NASDAN

Why it matters

  • Trust is earned before the first meeting. For specialist engineering firms, digital credibility is a commercial asset, not decoration.
  • Built for high-stakes industries. Stable architecture, clear information and secure infrastructure reflect the standards Currie's clients work to.
  • Front office and back office together. One platform supports both winning work and delivering it.
